HT BENDIX A/S opens Polish sales office to be closer to customers in growing, competitive market

HT BENDIX A/S has opened a sales office in Gdynia, Poland, to help build upon several years of successful activity in Poland and Eastern Europe.
“The Polish market has become a powerhouse in European furniture production,” says Frans Jappe, HT BENDIX Export Sales Manager. “Producers have invested a lot in their machinery in the last decade, and much of that is in Poland, which makes it probably the most competitive country for production of furniture right now. We are opening the sales office to increase our activities in this market.”
HT BENDIX hired its first dedicated Polish sales representative more than two years ago, Krzysztof Bukowski. He worked from mother company Bufab’s Polish office in Gdansk – just a 1-hour plane ride from Billund Airport near HT BENDIX’s headquarters. “It was a good way for us to get started. Kryzsztof’s success has shown that we are ready to take it to the next level,” says Frans Jappe.
Krzysztof Bukowski, now Country Manager, will be joined by Area Sales Manager Marta Basinska in November. The Gdynia sales office lies just 20 minutes away from Bufab and the airport in Gdansk.
Previously, HT BENDIX would visit 50-60 customers a year in Poland. In 2022-23 they expect to do more than 200. “We are a lot closer to our customers now and we can react a lot faster. We can also communicate in Polish now instead of English,” Frans Jappe says. “We want it to be easy to do business with us. If we can make it easy and simple for our customers, then we are almost there.”
He adds, “We have a big warehouse, we have the logistics setup, we have control of compliance, and we are very good at documentation – which is being pushed to all the Polish manufacturers. Those are some of the advantages we bring to Poland.”
